Felix Meritis

Muziekgebouw aan het IJ
Theatre for (classical) modern music. The building also houses the Bimhuis (jazz/improvised music).

Westergasfabriek
This former gas factory now has theatre, dance, film and other events. Located in the west part of the centre.

Comedy Café
Stand-up comedy, in Dutch and often also in English. Website is in Dutch.

Beurs van Berlage
The huge former trade building at Damrak, close to the Central Station. They do (classical music) concerts and exhibitions.

Bellevue theater
Theatre near Leidseplein, mostly Dutch language theatre performances.

Balie
Centre for (political) debates, seminars, film, theatre. And also a nice cafe.

Brakke Grond
Art centre for culture from Flanders (the Dutch speaking part of Belgium).

Concertgebouw
Internationally known for its fabulous acoustics and home of the famous Concertgebouw Orchestra.
